The book contains brief information on the field identification, habitats and distribution, and diet and behavior for 340 species of residents, breeding visitors, passage migrants, summer and winter visitors, and vagrants along with general distribution maps and 450 high quality images taken by the authors - Purevsuren Tsolmonjav and Jargalsaikhan Lamjav.
Purevsuren Tsolmonjav was born and raised in the foothills of the majestic Altai Mountains in western Mongolia. He has been fascinated and intrigued by nature and the wonderful wildlife of Altai Mountains since childhood. This had led him to pursue a university degree in biology and become a successful professional in his field. Purevsuren has been working on a various wildlife research and conservation projects, and leading wildlife tours since 2006.
Jargalsaikhan Lamjav was born and grew up in capital of Mongolia. He has been an amateur wildlife photographer over 10 years.
